We set up camp in the afternoon to let you enjoy the serenity of the unspoiled sand dunes near Al Hawiyah. You will marvel at a colorful sunset.  Spending a great evening and night under a bright sky is an unforgettable experience. Get up early to marvel at and feel the warmth of the first sun rays, rising from behind the dunes.

Make sure to bring your sunglasses to protect your eyes from the dazzling bright sunlight and the reflection on the white sands.  Sit on top of one of the dunes to enjoy a spectacular sunset. Before leaving Bahla, you will visit one of the potteries for which Bahla is famous. Nearby, the 17th century Jabreen Castle stands as a witness of the prosperity and flourishing economy of the area.  It also was the centre of education for studies such as astronomy, medicine, history and law. On the way to the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, you will pass by a few beautiful old villages. You will walk through the lush green plantations of Misfat Al Abriyeen and learn about the centuries old falaj irrigation system. The journey continues to Jebel Shams, Oman’s breathtaking Grand Canyon.  Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the awe inspiring mountains.
